About the Firm
Kupalia Advocates was initially established in 1971 by
Morris Kupalia. Kupalia served as a town clerk and later
as a Mayor of Malindi town for two terms between 1982
and 1992. In early 1970s he became an Advocate of the
high court of Kenya, the first one in Malindi and the
firm was made a partnership. Lawrence Chalalu joined
as a partner in 1973 and Henry Lughanje in 1988. After
many years with the firm, Chalalu and Lughanje left.
In 2015 Anthony Fondo Gona, Gift Mwangunya,
Earnest Mokaya and Kevin Mbura joined the firm and
later changed its name to Kupalia Fondo Mwangunya &
In addition to the partners, our experienced professional
team is complemented by highly skilled secretarial and
administrative staff. Our partners and staff constitute a
blend of youth and experience.
